How to Submit a Post
General Info
All events must be plein air oriented. Florida events are preferred, but others that a Florida artist could reasonably attend or benefit from is OK. No commercial posts are allowed, and events that require fees from artists are discouraged. The webmaster determines whether a submission is actually posted. Send information well in advance of an event to allow time for artists to plan. Submit via email to webmaster(at)pleinairflorida.org
Calendar
Include date, day, time, nearest city, state, name of the location, a brief description and the name and email of a contact person. Links to other websites are not usually listed. Specify the category Paintout, Exhibit, Workshop, Other.
Galleries
Plein air painting must be regularly displayed so that those visiting will be able to view original plein air artwork in a suitable setting, like a gallery, museum, art center, artist co-op, etc. Gift, framing and supply shops do not normally qualify unless they have a dedicated area that has exhibits. The exhibition space must be located in the state of Florida.
Include name of exhibit space, location address, phone number, director or contact person and email address. Although not required provide the names of any Plein Air Florida artist that is represented by the gallery.
Groups
Only plein air painting groups within the state of Florida are listed. Membership should be open to artists at all levels. If you would like your group associated with Plein Air Florida send a message describing your group. You will be sent information on how to apply.
Highlights
Plein Air Florida members may submit their accomplishments, awards, recognitions, etc. These should be of an exceptional nature, and not normal acceptance to shows and the like. Include the typical who, what, when, where, why, how info in a very brief format.
Resources
Services and products that are of benefit to plein air artists are selectively chosen to be listed. Describe what you offer and why it is particularly useful to our members. Include a link where more info can be found.
Webpage for Artists
Members may subscribe to have a brief bio, images and information about their plein air efforts. Reasonable updates are permitted throughout the year. This is a great way to have a web presence and to share your plein air experience. You will be sent instructions on what to submit.
