After introductions and location discussions, the painters paired up to explore the park and find the perfect painting locations. At the seashore, there are views of the Banana River, historic Indian mounds, a preserved State House, and wild seashore vegetation along the beach. After the morning painting, most met back at the picnic benches behind the Ranger's station for lunch and plein air discussions. Our painters were using oil, pastel, and watercolor for their morning creations. Despite the cold and technical difficulties with equipment (Mary's easel broke), all had a great time and were inspired by the park's scenery. | |||

We had a great turn out with 13 painters in attendance. They were Mark and Brenda Hofreiter, Cindy Sturla, Cynthia Edmonds, Ben and Francine Levy, Dorris Spradley, Carol Sawickie, Patricia Geary, Stuart Jones, Virginia Pendergrass, Mary Gray and Bob Brewer. And Larry Moore who went to the south entrance and painted, so was not with the main group. |  |

After lunch, off we went to either finish our mornings work or find new locations for the afternoon. We met up again at 4:00 pm back at the picnic area to share our day's work. 15 wonderful and inspiring works were created that day! There was discussion about doing another paint out and making it a 2 day event. If we do one, it will be on the PAF email list, so join Plein Air Florida now so you can attend. | |||
