Linda says, "The current focus of my art is documenting the incredible and all too quickly disappearing natural beauty of my native south. As an avenue of escape from current world events, I immerse myself in plein air painting. To me it is relaxing, challenging, frustrating and exhilarating all at the same time. A changing and all consuming experience, it can be totally solitary or infinitely social."

As a Marine Corps brat, and daughter of transplanted Florida natives, she had the privilege of growing up traveling throughout the USA. She earned a BFA in 1972 from the University of Florida while she worked as a graphic artist for the School Board of Alachua County.

Linda Stanley's experience includes illustration, the graphic arts, and art direction for Governor Bob Graham. In 1998 she made the decision to concentrate on fine arts and to paint full time. She is now marketing her work through shows and her website.
