Born in Belleville IL, Elisabeth has resided in central Florida for the past 20 years. She has developed her skills through workshops and home study creating a style of her own utilizing both old master techniques and alla prima methods of oil painting. Elisabeth paints in a detailed realistic style often "hiding" creatures or animals in her paintings, which are not obvious to the viewer. Her subjects range from landscapes, wildlife, figurative and portraits.
Elisabeth started in acrylics and then switched to her current medium: oils. Plein air painting has opened up a new world and introduced a whole new method of painting and appreciation of nature. It is truly an adventure to go into the wilds and record a place and time in history before hurricane, fire or mankind forever changes it. Elisabeth loves to travel the state, participating in group paint outs and exhibits
She received her art training at Lilidahl School of Classical Art, Crealde Art School, and plein air workshops with Gregg Kreutz and Scott Christensen.
